SAFC 2 Help Needed!!!weid issue with loss of RPM signal
Ok, I have been playing around with the car trying to figure out whyTF its acts up once in a while and have found something ineteresting. It is directly tied to heat blowing down to the feet area where the ECU is at...
My boy Streetz installed a SAFC2 when he helped my get this car running after the 3.5 swap.
The safc runs fine, reads all the signals, but i had an issue where the car would buckle for no apparent reason and would stat bogging down when it really acts up.When this happends it looses the rpm signal but it still reads everything else, volt, throttle %. and now that its winter, i have found the ticket. if i put the heater blowing down to the feet it is only a matter of time for it to stop reading the rpms, and if i put it hot enough, the car will start bogginf down and I have to revv it and its kinda sluggish when its running.
When it does, i turn on the ac on cold also down to the feet, and sure enough, in mintutes, the safc2 shows the rpms again, though not always does it stop the bogging down bs.
now, when i had my old car i used to have an MSD rpm adapter to use the aftermarket mini injector controller as the signal used stock was a very low signal which would get lost at high rpm, im wondering if the added heat on the wiring would cause signal degredation where this maybe the issue?
the bogging down, i may have a seperate maf wiring issue???
has anyone encountered any weird issues like this with their safc in general and during vq35 swapp?
thanks
