Could someone please give me input as what to do with the upper intake. Im not too sure if my setup would work well with the SSIM or just leaving it stock? Also, any disadvantages to doing an EGR delete?

I researched it too, I would recommend getting a block off plate and deleting the vias, if you delete the EGR you will not pass a sniffer test for NOx, but you can delete the EGR without getting a code by plugging the pipe that would otherwise go into your intake manifold, and thereby leaving the sensor plugged in for the EGR.

Managed to get a few things done over the weekend. Got my StephenMax PF TB adapter plate, cleaned up my crank pulley, and installed headers/gaskets, Permatex copper-spray-a-gasket. Ordered up all new coolant lines, clamps, new radiator, belts, tensioners, plugs, new oil pressure switch. Waiting on VIAS block off plate and EGR block off plate.

Good work!! You are on the home stretch now.

I'm assuming you will be lifting your transmission in soon, I just did mine a few nights ago...it is much easier to do with the transmission mount off I found out the hard way

Ok guys got her running today, I do not have a air filter setup and its just open right after MAF. My exhaust is also running open after y-pipe. It was idling funny, would walk up to 2200 and then back down to 1200. Ran for a few minutes, no leaks. Took it for a drive after and car would drive up to 2200 and then just hesitate and not go any further. Going to setup my intake, not sure if the MAF was not seeing the air rushing in fast enough. Also Im going to RTV my VIAS and EGR block off plates. BTW cammed VQ sounds like a beast!

Ended up being my TPS, I installed it incorrectly so voltage was not varying. Fixed that and car drove a lot better. Still have to setup a intake and have an exhaust made. My idle is still kind of funny, will sometimes idle 1200,1300 rpm and then will walk back down to 1000-1100rpm. Besides that car is sooo loud, my neighbors must hate me. Haha
Idle.

HOLY SNIZZLE this thing flies!! OMG not tuned and Im ripping through 2nd!! She does break up/hesitate almost misfire around 2K-3.5K but once you lay into the throttle she smoothes out and just rips above 4K. But then again it is running open y-pipe and open right after the MAF. Would this possibly cause the breakup/hesitation? Im having my exhaust done this Saturday and hooking up my intake Friday. Im hoping my timing is not off, but will hook up a vacuum gauge tomorrow and see what my readings are. With my setup, what readings are ideal? 18-19in vacuum? If my timing was off, would I see it high in the RPM's or more low in the RPM's?

Should there be distance between your MAF and TB? I've read that putting the MAF right on your TB can throw off the ecu...
