How to identify VLSD transmission

Hey everyone, I am rebuilding my maxima transmission, and have come across something thats puzzling me. I bought the car used, and dont have a way to contact the previous owner, but I think the car has a VLSD trans but am not sure. The spider gears on the differential do not spin freely when I removed it from the tranmission, indicating it may be a limited slip. Also I put a engine and transmission out of my 95 into the 99, and used the axles out of the 99. The drivers side wheel sticks out from the fender and rubs on the frame, the passenger side does not. I know the drivers side axle is longer on the LSD trans, but I am not sure that it would fit into a non LSD transmission. The previous owner has changed the engine out of the car, but I dont know if that was the original transmission. DOes anyone know what numbers i can look for on the plate, or pictures of a VLSD and non VLSD diffs so I can compare? Thanks

Ah there it is, I glanced over that post too quickly. I appear to have gotten lucky with the transmission, and it is a VLSD.

VLSD is a good thing to get lucky with. Nice.
