RPM switch for 00vi

I have the Summit Racing part# SUM-830449 rpm switch for my 00vi. The switch was broken by somebody leaning on it and cracking it. What switch do people use now since they don't sell that one anymore? I know i can "find somebody selling one" but i need one now.

So which one nowadays? The SUM-830449-1 or the SUM-830450(digital readout)? I saw a few use the digital readout one through searching. I basically just want to buy a new one, snip the existing wires and re-solder the new wiring to the existing ones. Is the 830449-1 a newer more compact version of the old one or for a different app all together? I searched but most stuff is either a few yrs old or i couldn't find a definitive thread for it.

Either a MSD 8969 or a VAFC-II. They are the most popular. Im sure the ones you listed work too but I havent heard of anyone using them.

I see many installing this (window switch) on 95-99 vq30s but can I install a window switch on my 2001 vq30de-k? Will it cause trouble having to things trying to activate the VIAS(ECU & Window Switch). I would like to activate it around 4300 RPM.

Any reason why you want to change it? Have you ever dynoed your car and if so what does your curve look like?
