OOVI. RPM SIGNAL & FUNCTION TEST

OOVI. RPM SIGNAL & FUNCTION TEST
i got all my 00vi parts together and im a little stuck.
1. for the rpm signal i was told to do on the ground side of the coil. (meaning on the ground (black wire) of the coil connector?
2. and as for activating the OOVI i applied power to the black plug connector (the one on the left) . Im not sure what its supposed to do tho. all I heard was a click (something like a relay) and thats it.
i see people dont use the brown one and remove it completley and also plugging up that nipple on the right.
Also what do i do about the nipple above the black one?

1. I've never tried getting the rpm signal from the coil wire with an rpm switch before, but it was done that way when I went to the dyno and it works fine. I've always used the tach signal from either the ECU harness itself, or from the actual tach itself behind the cluster. Both of those work fine.
2. You can leave both nipples open. And yes, you do use the black connector. Once you get the car running with the 00vi on, you can just rev the car in neutral and watch the litte vias thingy next to the 2 connectors move. Thats the most simple way of telling if you wired up the rpm switch the right way.
