Problems.. Timing chain links

Just doing a 3.5 swap. I had both engines at tdc before I started the tare down. Marked the links on the 3.0 so they would match up when I transferred them over to the 3.5 got all my timing on wanted to make sure it wouldn't skip a tooth but after running the engine manually should the links line up once back to tdc? Also my chain doesn't have any defining marks on it. All links are the same color

nope cause the sprockets are different size. Your timing is on the cam not the chain. Once you start it chain won't line up anymore
