oh really, this has me puzzled. everything is working but im not getting any spark. some people say its the mating surface where the engine meets the transmission, and that i should sand it down and add a ground but i dont see how this would help but im going to give it a try

You might have an EGI harness problem, although it is rare, google the tsb for it.

Before ripping your car apart again, try a large gauge jumper between a bolt on the tranny and one on the engine. You can get a 12 inch battery cable with ring terminals at a good auto parts store. Use a star washer between the ring terminal and the metal of the enigne or tranny. Or just make sure you remove the oxidation from where you will bolt up the ring terminal. I suggested this a couple posts ago.

If this does not work, then sanding the mating surfaces wont either.

didnt read the whole thread due to it being so long n im on the cell so disregard my lil 2c if its already been said, but im not sure if the car isnt starting because of the trans swap, but anyways mines ever started either, did you cut and spliced the ground wire??? green wire with yellow stripe (if its the same as the 5.5's)???... mines started right up after doing that

i had a terrible time starting my 3.5 6speed swap. first it was the ud pullie then my grounds then my car wasnt sending enough volts to get my fuel pump going. how did you splice your wires for the sparks and are you positive youre getting fuel? what fpr are you using?

I'm still under water trying to breath.....I have a consult that tells me t"he (pos) flywheel ring count" is all over the place 203, 301, ect......so I think it could be the flywheel ring. But its weird, when I cleaned and sand some of the grounds I got spark back and the car started up after spraying starter fluid in the intake manifold. But then it shut off. At this time I had no gear oil or axles in so I decided to put them in. So i removed the ground on the tranny to put the bracket on to connect the shifter cable. Now it won't start anymore with the starter fluid. Any thoughts?
