wait.....now that i remember, VK45 pistons are the ones that fit a VQ30,....a destroked VQ35 would need HR pistons (great for high revs, good flowing heads, and the HR pistons will raise the 8.8 C.R.)

what formula is used to determine C.R. on the VQ hybrids????

It's always needed it ever since the hood incident, you've seen pictures of it.

Also need:

Sunroof
Engine Mounts
Brake Pads and Rotors
18" Tires
Headlights
Corner Lights
AC Compressor
Radio
And mooore

And whatever other things I pillaged the red car for to fix the white car

Really? D@mn dude.
16 pages of nothing but cheap talk, endless claims and pipe dreams.
So now this will be what the 5th setup? Whats your new consideration for the platform going to be and expected power output?
Still not considering just doing the 3.5 swap?
Do you think its going to be running by Maxus?

-Failure to be exact.
So now this will be what the 5th setup?
-Lost count.
Whats your new consideration for the platform going to be and expected power output?
-Don't care I just want the car running
Still not considering just doing the 3.5 swap?
-There's an 06 3.5 w/ 38k miles sitting next to my car, as for how the hell it's going in there, no idea.
Do you think its going to be running by Maxus?
-Running? Yes, driveable, unlikely. I need to have this motor running by then before the warranty is up to see if it's another bad 3.5 or not.
I just want the car running, whatever I do w/ the 3.5 it will be more powerful than the 3.0, I'm content with that for the time being.

I know that I'm not fooling w/ 3.0 timing anymore just because of my luck w/ motors, I can yank this one out if it's bad over night and pop another one in another night NBD, it's what I wanted to do from the start of this thread, but I was under a time crunch to get it running for IFO, now that that's all past and not happening, I can take my time and do the full swap which is what I originally wanted to do from the get-go, but couldn't because of time constraints.

Need to start ripping apart the red car even more, having the wire harness checked out sometime this week before I buy it and start attempting a full 3.5 swap....

Got the wrong harnesses, well one of them was wrong, I still need an engine harness for an 02-03. ANy problems with using a Auto wire harness? Besides some extra wires?

Hey bro are you ordering direct from nissan or are you junking for the harness? I tried junking for a harness but it was a huge pain and waste of time. Idk if you have a good relationship with ur local nissan dealer but you might see about havin them order it for you... it worked for me.

Nope. Just some extra wires. Think of auto to manual swapped cars. (mine) Just extra wires going to the TCM and tranny.

I can vouch for this guy's salvage yard. I've ordered multiple parts from them and they are as close to new as you can get without actually being new from nissan. I wouldn't even call it a "salvage" yard. More like a slightly used yard. lol

Just learned.... Can't use that cluster.... At least they're cheap... I can order one....

I got a steal on the Osiris.... Need to wait another week to be able to swing it.

I wish I could even find an automatic harness!!! We have neither and no salvage yard wants to even try for less than $250, which is why I just gave up on the 02-03 swap......

My motor came w/ an 06 harness sooooo yeahhhhhhh...... swap city trick...

Ok cool man, so you are like scrooge mcduck but instead of swimming in a vat o gold coins your swimming in nissan parts, pure jealously from this guy. On to the guage cluster. How are you bypassing the lockout?

That wouldve been a sweet cluster. So your gonna do the full 3.5 swap and run Osirus with the 6th gen ecu?
I wouldve liked to see the results of one of your other possible builds.
