New product from NWP Engineering! 6th gen Maxima UIM EGR Block Plate Kit

NWP Engineering is about to release an EGR Block Plate Kit specifically for the 04-08 Nissan Maxima VQ35DE upper intake manifold. With as many engine and intake manifold swaps I see happening, there has been a need to block the EGR port on this manifold if you do not want to run an EGR system. This product will come in handy for anybody wanting a clean way to cap off this EGR port.

The kit will come with a 1/4" thick aluminum EGR Block Plate with the NWP logo engraved as well as two properly sized zinc plated bolts and installation instructions. And included as always, a pair of silver die cut vinyl NWP Engineering decals.

The people that should benefit the most are those VQ35 swaps that happen to use an 04-08 Maxima engine. Or for anybody that would like to purchase a used spare 6th gen Maxima UIM at a good deal, but don't need to run an EGR system.

This kit is not intended to eliminate the EGR system on an 04-08 Maxima, since that will prevent you from passing emissions as well as give you a check engine light. So no EGR block plug will be included for the RH exhaust manifold. If there becomes a demand for this plug, I will be able to develop a full kit. But at this time, I don't think there's a need.

A final price has not been determined just yet. But it should be priced between $35-45 depending on how much demand is shown on the forums over the next week. I don't expect this new product to become as popular as the NWP Engineering VIAS Block Plate Kits, but it is just one more NWP product to choose from. This product is expected to be released to the public by the end of next week.

We are also currently working on several new exciting and innovative products for the Maxima. So please continue to check our website or "Like" our Facebook page for the most up to date information.

Thank you for all your support!

It is something for the 5th gen if you are running an EGR upper intake manifold from a 6th gen Maxima or 05-06 Altima.

There are surprisingly a lot of people with an EGR manifold on a non-EGR Maxima. And there are also a lot of 05-06 Altimas removing their EGR system to clean up their engine bay. I am currently conducting testing on a 2005 Altima 3.5 as well as a 2008 Maxima to eliminate the EGR without getting any codes.
