specv trans, fidanza flywheel, but what clutch?
So my 3rd gear is grinding and since I'm doing exhaust and need a clutch might as well do it all.
I picked up an 05 sentra specv trans and a fidanza flywheel but what clutch do you guys recommend for good street use but also keeping in mind I beat on the car and will autox and drag it next year..
My mods:
GAB, SSIM, cattman headers (to be installed), nwp spacers, and a custom 3in once I get my headers in. I MIGHT get some jwt s2 cams if my friend sells them on the cheap side as well.
Also, is there a writeup or any tips on how I should swap bellhousings??
Summary: I plan on tracking the car, autox and drag, have a specv trans and fidanza flywheel and want a clutch that can pair up right and be good for both aspects.

For what you plan on doing I would NOT recommend a jwt stage 1 clutch or ANY stage 1 really. If you read JWT website it says that if you use their clutch that you HAVE to use their flywheel too, but you already have fidanza flywheel so that JWT stage 1 will not work with it just by reading the website.
I have a SPEC Stage 2 clutch and fidanza flywheel on my maxima. I would recommend that to you as well....a SPEC stage 2 clutch for the Sentra its good for 241 ft-lbs and if you want you can get the SPEC stage 2+ which has the same drivability but is good for 270 ft-lbs. (in case in the future you plan on doing some more building to your car). I can tell you from experience with my SPEC clutch its VERY VERY streetable...I drive the car everyday to work no problems at all no chatter nothing. Easy to drive and feels MUCH MUCH better than that SOGGY stock clutch! It's nice and tame when I want and then when I want to get on it that thing GRABS...HARD!!

for the longest time i was set on the 350z clutch, but then i realized i'm going to be beating the **** out of the car next year, as much as i dont want it its uh, "natural" haha.
how much do the 350z clutches usually hold? how much abuse do you guys think they'll take with my listed mods?
i should still get a spec stg2 clutch for the maxima though correct? since i'm changing out the bellhousing i'd still use the maxima stuff? this is my first manual (that i own and have to replace stuff myself, i've driven em forever, just never been my problem lol) so isn't the clutch more related to the motor rather then trans?
i searched on google and some random sentra forums about swapping bellhousings, everyone says they've done it, but no one says how =[ if its something simple i'll be able to do it at the dealer i work at, but if itll take more then 2 days to pull it out and put it in i can't do it there. i've never done a manual trans so idk.

Whatever.....SPEC Stage II......you wont regret it!
And Z clutches are good until you approach near 300.
And I abuse the **** out of mine, even though I only make about 210wtq
I'm selling a JWT clutch with only 3k miles on it for $400 OBO. I had it paired with a Fidanza flywheel, and it was amazing -- so much grip.
Sadly, the car's gone, but here's the part out thread with more info: http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...ory-parts.html

Hah ya, sorry for not being clear on the specv tranny thing. I talked to someone local who did a vq35 swap on his sentra, is it true that I need a maxima lsd bellhousing or will my maxima w/no lsd bellhousing work?
i know this is an old thread, but the 350z jwt clutch held 430lbs of torque for 3 years on a 350z i built. that car was raced at every opportunity (it ran mid 11s on DRs). i was thoroughly impressed by the JWT 350z clutch.
i wouldn't ever get a spec clutch, and i would never advise anyone else to get one either.

You can get any 6mt diff, just make sure the drive ring matches whatever is on the output shaft.
(So if your transmission is a 3.7 make sure you put the 3.7 ring on your diff).
