Wow... this is a de-k build thread and you got people starting all sorts of drama... the guy started a build thread to show people what he did and explain where its going... ask for opinions guessing whp numbers to see ehos the closest and it turns into a jerry springer battle sbout 3.5 vs 3.0??? Sad day when the vtech crowd doesnt even fight this much on their forums.... you all need to grow up and cause drama elsewhere...no need for it in this thread...makes me remember why alot of guys started using alternate forums....because you all act like youre 16... get over it and stfu and keep on topic...if you want to battle out wits with one another do so elsewhere for god sakes.....

Hey Kevin have you done a base pull with the current set up yet? I'm going to guess around 230-235 without extending the rev limiter and timing adjustments, 240-245 when you do . Good luck should be a fun car to drive.
I second this. My first guess of 235whp was with stock tune/limiter but I think once it's able to be free'd up a bit with the extended rev limiter, it'll make another 10whp or so.
Lemme just ask 1 more time....... the only power mods the OP will have on this run is..................

cams may be the absolute best NA mod for a DEK as thats its biggest flaw, its the weak cams of the DEK, great move by the OP however with just those mods the OP wont see anything 250's.. but i sure hope he proves us all wrong because that gives more than hope for all DEK's... (not me) but all others who believe there is some secret hidden power that the DEK possesses that has been stored somewhere deep withing lls... however he will get decent power with it... it would be nice to know an approximate date of dyno so i dont have to keep trolling...

Not necessarily.... here is my thing, n I may open up the floodgate of ppl who will easily disagree but loosing a bit of power @3K and below I kinda don't care about n will sacrifise willingly to make power furter up, at WOT from a dead stop the car is there only once for maybe a small fraction of a second.... it does push the powerband to the right, DEK's were always kind of good at holding power but the major choke factor was the fact that nissan gave em week cams for what they say was for durability, ride comfort n lesser engine noise IIRC (loads of crap)... so even throwing mods at it we normally still get fairly week numbers for the claimed 222 or 227hp that they came with, the cams free up a lot of those HP's.... its like saying a chain is only as stong as its weakest link, n how can e make that chain stonger......... address the weak link
i say 245-250 easy with the right supporting mods for the cams, i know a local here that pulled 240 on a 5th gen with a 5spd swap, still on a auto ecu w/ a vafc2 so i would imagine untuned it can put down 240 easy and maybe 260 fully tuned correctly again just my thoughts
