I have a '98 Maxima and I'm installing a 2001 DEK under the hood, currently. Unfortunately, the DEK did not come with a throttle body, and I need suggestions on whether I should have the adapter made (for $125) and use my VQ30DE original throttle body, or would it be best to find a DEK throttle body?

Also, is there any compatibility issues if I use the DEK throttle body, with the '98 ECU? Is this plug and play?

I must admit, looking at the DEK's fuel, and vacuum hookups, or what's left of everything, is confusing as hell, when trying to figure out how this new engine will connect with what's left in the engine bay (the wrecking yard literally ripped the DEK from it's engine bay *snip snip* to the hoses, wires, and nearly all else, ugh!).

Anyone who has had this problem with a DEK swap, I'd love to hear your input! Also, I can post pictures of what I'm up against, as far as trying to piece together all the new parts I will need to make this happen. Thanks in advance.

Most of the vac hoses reconnect same as the de....the injecotrs are different... you will need to splice in the clips from the dek harness onto yours... as far as tb goes... you can order one on ebay if youd like or get a pathfinder tb and adapter and run that... the dek tb has the iacv on the bottom whereas the de does not... so your existing iacv will need a new location or you can always try and use the dek iacv... if not you eill need a block off plate for it and an adapter for your iacv from what ive read... i myself eill be doing the same swap...except im a 99 with cali emissions so mine will be more plug and play...
