Motors + Transmissions That I've Shipped

I'm just listing the weights, the dimensions will be too far off to use for any reason at all.

These are all PALLETED weights, a usual pallet consist of 20-30lbs of wood, wire and plastic wrap. I'm not going to give you an estimate of the motor/tranny, just an exact weight that shows up on the scale.

We usually round up to the nearest lb, so if a tranny is 172.3 lbs, it'll show as 173lbs.

Class is for my purposes.

You may infer what you want from the information below.

MR16DDT
-2011 Nissan Juke - 249lbs (WITH TURBO!)

VQ35DE (FWD 2nd Generation)
-09 Altima - 359lbs - 92.5

VQ35DE (7th Gen maxima)
-10 Maxima - 310lbs - 85

this is accurate?

ima guess that that max motor wasn't complete. as it should be very very close to the altima weight.

but hey 5.7 swap = weight reduction over old VQ FTW hahahah

The weights are "accurate", but only take them w/ a grain of salt.

We've palleted one 05 VQ35 before @ 270lbs.

Sometimes I think the guys in the back just make up #'s

Remember these are PALLETED weights, not true motor weight.

I use this list as a handy guide to give people quotes, I have it written on my desk but I shared it w/ the intarwebs so someone can get an idea of what this stuff weighs

Just found the reason:

The Altima motor is on a much bigger pallet for some reason, the dimensional weight bumped it up a class, that can explain the difference in weight.
