VQ30DE - need help with identification and parts

I have a VQ30DE engine in an off-road buggy that I need to get some parts for.

From the engine VIN, can anyone tell me the year and model this motor is from?

Can you tell me what spark plug wires might fit? It has a Haltec E6X engine management system with remote coils. I need some wires that will fit down into the spark plug holes.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Bump. Hey, I'd be happy with a decent guess on the year / model fit.

Thanks

the maxima has no engine options. all trim levels come with the same engine. assuming your engine is from the US or canada, it's from a 95-2001 maxima (or 96-2001 infiniti I30, which is the same car essentially). if it's not a north american engine then things get more complicated.

some pictures of the engine itself might help us further identify it if necessary, just a thought. that number you provided doesn't mean anything to me, not sure if anyone else knows what it is. i bet it's just a serial number

i have no idea what spark plug wires would fit. they use coil on plug from the factory, so virtually no one would be trying to fit wires to it, probably only a few special cases like yourself, if any.

I've got a remote coilpack setup on my VQ35. I am going to check on the model/brand/type of spark plug wire I use.

Is it possible to find out what spark plug wires are originally in place with the Haltech?

BTW Do you have the Haltech maps for that engine? I'd like to take a look at them.

Thanks - that YMM range gets me a lot closer. My assumption now is parts within that range should fit my VQ.

You described it better than I did - I also have the remote coil pack vs. the COP from the factory. I'll contact Haltech to see if they have a recommendation.

I didn't think of that.

Do you have more pictures of the engine? Horsepower numbers or details on the modifications on the engine?

I am looking to do a standalone with the same sensors and I'm interested in the E6X. Do you have the Haltech maps for this engine?

I bought a Mallory spark plug wire set "kit" and later found out the connectors don't fit the coil packs. I learned (and am sharing) those packs are also from Haltech and need MSD-3304 connectors which I am ordering.

When I get the engine running, I'll try to download the map from the ESX system and post it here.

Ok glad you are getting it worked out, man. I have Accel plug wires, I am unsure of the connectors still, which is a pertinent information.

Good, I may go standalone in my Maxima, so I am very interested in understanding how the tables go together.
