Who here has completed the swap in a 5th gen? If so did any problems arise? I have a spare hybrid vq35 and was thinking if swapping it into a 5th gen.

I thread I found mentioned that the cruise control couldn't be used. Is this the case? Is everything the same as a 4th gen swap?

 

considering the 5th gen had the VQ30DEK and the 5.5 gen had the VQ35 standard it shouldn't be a big problem...

It depends on which tb you use.

 

I used SSIM/PFTB and my cruise control is no longer because the elbow would not allow the cruise control box to fit in its regular location.

 

5th gen cc box must be bigger than the 4th gen box because I still have my cc box bolted in place on a 3.5 with all of NWP's spacers. Maybe its possible to retrofit the 4th gen cc box in?
