Hey guys I'm picking up a 98 Maxima off my friend for 500 dollars to use as a project car, what I want to do is drop in a rb26det, I know it will take a lot of work and money to do it. Have to convert to awd, custom build motor mounts, custom fire wall ect. to get it to fit, I've done a bit of reading on it. My question is, has anyone successfully done it? Want to give any tips to help me out other than negativity? As I said its my project car so I'm okay with it being out of commission for a while as I do it

I'm just gonna build it from the ground up basically

Or drop in a sr20det and just make it rear wheel drive to make a drift car, still expensive but yeah, so many options

Are you going to be doing the work or is a shop going too?

Isnt there another thread on this very subforum pertaining to this swap?

I think the guy got it in and running but still had major issues. Funny that he also is in the armed forces.

I'm going to do the work I don't trust the shop with my car. And all the threads pertaining to this swap that I've found stop unfinished, so what this thread is about is finding someone who actually has finished the project, for the skyline engine and tranny and drive, not the vq35, that is just my fall back, thank you

If you post a link to that thread it would be awesome cause I can't find it

Nvm I found it I think
