Help me!!! Try to set this timing

Alright fellas I have a vq35de with the 3.0 timing. But instead of using the 3.5 cams, im using my 3.0 cams. My problem is how is the timing suppose to be set? I seen videos of people explaining to timing setting but thats with oem cams.i would appreciate all the help. Car been down for WAY too long.
