I have read a few of the threads on here, I need to know if I can swap in the motor and trans from a 7th gen (2010) to my 6th gen (2007). both cars are cvt. and since I can get a good deal on the complete package I would much rather swap complete set up if possible. Does anyone know if this will be a plug and play swap? I believe I have to swap over the intake manifold and exhaust manifolds. Unless anyone else has already done this swap and can please help me with what may need to be done? My 07 has 122,000 miles and I have had a complete detonation. I much rather swap in a fresh motor and tranny together if at all possible. Please help A noob out

 

Never done the swap, but the IM shouldn’t need to be swapped, I don’t think the A34 (all flavors, Al & plastic) IM’s do not fit the 09+ Maxima engine. And there should be no reason to swap it.

Same goes for the exhaust manifolds. I’d imagine there may or may not be a fitment issues re: the exhaust manifolds. But there is definitely no reason to swap IM’s.

 

@ nmexmax thanks for the input. I guess the less I HAVE to change the better. I'd like to find out as much as possible before buying the 7th gen setup. I can scrape engine and trans for 2100. It would be awesome if I could make a clean plug and play swap into my 07. I'm just new to the Nissan swap game. I appreciate the help.
