about to change speakers...3rd gen bose....thers 4 wires goin into bose amps,black,red and 2 others,which ones do i use to hook up new speakers

 

Are you using the BOSE amp, throwing in a new one, or hooking the speakers up to an aftermarket deck. I never messed around with the BOSE but assuming all things equal; black is ground, red is power, and the two others should be the source inputs. What I'm getting at is that the speaker wires are coming off the back of the deck, in which case you can just hook up the speakers using the wires available at the source. If there are really only four wires to the amp then the source inputs are probably signal outputs, in which case you can use those. Confused?

the two SMALLER wires are the speaker wires... the two bigger ones are the wires going from the amp..... cut the smaller ones and hook those up to the speaker... i cant remember which colors are what... just try them both and see what will work

 

lookin at a speaker...theres the speaker,then from speaker r 2 wires from bose amp... now from amp theres 4 wires connected to it in a clip harness,which comes from headunit...im putting in an aftermarket deck...so now i wanna know outta the 4 wires is the red,black for amps power or for speakers/pos,neg

 

ps.. im not using the amps just wanna use the wires instead of running new ones...and whats the deal with my antenna jack that plugs into my new deck..its got 2 little things stickin out instead of a normal plug that should just go in my radio ...i didnt do front doors yet ..can i just drill new holes to fit 6 1/2s in or do i gotta build somthin
