Help taking out radio/finding REM wire

Help taking out radio/finding REM wire

Hey I have my amp installed in my 00SE with stock non-bose radio for a few months now but I want to connect the REM wire to my radio or anything else to avoid having to use a stupid switch my friend made me. Well could anybody tell me possibly which wire from the radio is the rem wire or maybe if theres anything in the rear that I could use that willl turn on with the car or radio or well you guys get it. Thankx in adv...

The remote wire goes to your antenna. I'm not sure which one it is on your car, but its usualy blue, or blue with white stripe.

No it doesn't!!! that would mean that your amps would only turn on when the radio is on tuner! LOL The remote wire coming from the new hu goes to you amps to turn the off and on. there is no wire in the car to connect it to.

cut the switch out and reconnect the wire together and walla. the switch is just to stop the continuity of power. some people put their amps on switches so that when they go into certain areas they can kill their bass amp and still listen to music on their other speakers

I was thinking about alot of aftermarket ones that use 1 wire for remote and and antenna. I think he uses a witch because he has a constant power pire running to his amps remote lead. Thats possible reason to use a switch with an amps power.
