Right now i own a 12 inch JL w3 powered by a JL 250/1 amp. Instead of getting a 500/1 amp, i was thinking of adding another W3 and adding 1 more 250/1, so each sub is powered by its own amp. My HU has enough outputs, but i was just wondering if anyone has ever done this, and if it is worth it? Thanks alot

 

hmmmm,
i suppose that would work, might just want to run it off the RCA outs on the other amp in that case. but how about buy the 500/1 and then sell the 250/1, it doesnt cost as much to have one 500/1 vs two 250/1's. i know you already have one, but you might beable to sell it.
also i think that a single amp would be easier on the electrical system than 2 amps, even though they put out the same power.
