Can any of you guys help me out here. I want to add some subs to the factory bose system. Is there any way to somehow splice into the signal from somewhere in the trunk, also is there any way I can power the amp from a source somewhat close to the trunk, so that I can save time and not have to power the amp from under the hood? I thought there was something about this under the faq but i guess not?

There are signal adapters that will allow you to hook up RCA's into the speaker wires from the trunk. You need to buy an adapter for ~$20 from an audio store and simply splice it into the speaker wires for the rears. I have done this before to quickly test subs and there is definetely a difference from using a full RCA setup. You will in all likelyhood have to run a power from the battery which includes a built in fuse somewhere along the line, but you can ground it anywhere to the metal bed of the trunk. Good luck.

You will need to splice off the speaker wires on the back speakers and run that to a converter which will convert it to the correct Ohm rating for the subs. You will have to run a power wire from the battery though.
