SUB poll--best sound vs. space

Should I get a 10" Bazooka tube or a 12" MTX sealed enclosure to replace the bose crap in my car?

I didn't vote, b/c you didn't have a "neither" option. I don't like MTX or Bazooka. If you want a simple one piece enclosed sub, get the Infinity Basslink.

Neither

I'd vote for neither too. I personally am an Eclipse worshipper. You can't go wrong with their aluminum/titanium series subs.

You may think that Bazooka is not a big improvement over Bose, but 2 12" MTX may hurt your hearing. I suggest my 2 10"s MTX in a bandpass enclose I am selling. It will give you enough lows to make your seats tremble, yet you won't loose your hearing (hopefully)

if youre going for sound quality, and trying "NOT to hurt your ears", then why do you have a bandpass box? and what happened to the volume ****? im putting 2 15 brahma's in my car with around 3000 watts. that doesnt mean ill go deaf before any of you do tho.

The e12k is the new model? For 90 bucks thats going to be a steal. That'll definately be better than any MTX 12. There are better options out there other than MTX or Bazooka. If you want a "known" brand try Kicker Comp VR or Alpine Type R.

I do not really like MTX. I have not really ever heard Bazooka stuff before, so I do not know what they are like.

Re: SUB poll--best sound vs. space

i also would have to say neither. i am a big fan of Eclipse. they are the best in my opnion but they are pretty expensive! i would suggest going on ebay and looking for some low priced eclipse subs or going to modernsound.org they have some very nice products well below MSRP.

hope this helps

i'm going to put Image Dynamics IDQ 10s in my car.. I believe even the 12" doesn't require a big enclosure, but they are more of SQ subs than boom

I have audiobahn alum 12x subs.
I am yet to hear a sub play the lows , and i mean the reallly lows with teh authority mine do. of course my friends 15w3 are louder but that b/c his peak in response is around 65 hz. which to sounds like *** when listening to music. mine peaks at around 35 40hz while still maintaining that 55 60 hz bass note. I really love the response. But they will hurt your ears. When that deep *** bass note hits it just feels like your head is gonna explode and my entire car shakes. but you can turn it down i guess.

Thanks for all your input!!

I like the basslink but it's quite pricey and I already have a sweet PPI amp.

I'll have to do more research.
