PLEASE HELP!my radio stopped working

to thepoint, i have a panasonic cd player cq-df600 which i had for 2years, ayear ago i installed it in my 90 max but not too good cause i just used electrical tape. well couple days ago i was pulling some wires under the dash and i think i pulledthem too hard that it made the red wire unhook from the radio and my dimmer wire so close to it that it touched together with the red and made something wrong because when i was driving and i turned my lihts on, after 10 min everything went out-dash lights, brakes and rear, and side markr lghts, all except the headlighs, so i checked the fuses inside the car and one was bad-the tail lamp, but i dunno if it just happend or was itold. my lights work and so does everything else except my radio. it wont turn on at all. i checked if the red wire gets power and it does, but the yellow does not. what might be the problem and what should i check, thanks a whole lot sorry so long

If I remember correctly, red is ignition and yellow is constant 12v. I would double check the fuses again(especially the radio fuse).

Were there any blown fuses under the hood? Also did you check the wires with a multimeter too? Also, there are fuses on the harness for the radio too.

Someone else had this same problem in the past 3-8 months. I don't remember who, or shat the solution was. But the same basic problem. I think it did end up being a fuse. But don't know which one.

It is either a blown fuse or you burned up your head unit.

i checked the fuses inside the car, and they are ok, i checked the fuse on the harness for the radio and it is ok, i did not check fuses under the hood, but everything else works fine except the radio and that is it, i also checked the red wire with the voltmeter and it did show power, i checked the yellow one with the fuse and it showed no power with the ignition turned so the radio works, thanks for helping and i hope i find the problem soon

Did you check all the fuses under the dash, or just the radio fuse? If you didn't check all of them, go back and start over. The wire is switched on - by - the - ignition . . .

Did you check to see if the yellow wire has power when teh key is in? If both power wires have power, then it's not a fuse. Next make sure your ground is good. If all this is good, but the headunit still won't turn on, it's probably fried. If you smell the HU, does it smell like it's burnt? Normally when something fries, you can smell it.
