quick question

can listening to songs that have bad sound quality hurt speakers? i dunno this might be a stupid question but i listen to alot of freestyles and they usualy are very bad quality becase they weren't recorded in a studio. they have static sounds and very very thick bass just wondering if this will hurt speakers

Well, you would have to set your gains perfectly, or more conservatively to be totally safe. Because the information that can be inserted in a recording blemish could ask for max power from the amp. Over an odd frequency range. Theoretically, you should be safe. But use your own disgression.

I totally agree with jmax on this. With any kind of music you should always be cognizant of the levels of distortion (too loud). Besides overpowering, I would say that poor amplification is a better way to hurt your speakers than a poor recording.
