i think im gonna drop around 4 G's and go with a professional installation. My brothers best friend's friend does custom installations for a living and is going to hook me up. He has actually done the systems for Funk Master Flex and Jay-Z. How much have all of you guys dropped into your stereo system???

About 7,000 dollars including labor.

Before you do the install, cover all the car with sounddeadening material. It'll be quiet and will not shake when you have a lot of mid and low freequensies playing, especially doors. Raam matt

In all, I'm going to pack under 1,200$ hopefully.. focal components, Zapco amp, Pioneer HU, Image Dynamics subs and an amp to power them.

Well, any amount you quote us is relative to the quality of equipment and the install he does. What's important to you? SQ? SPL? A flashy system with neon lights, plexiglass, motorized amp racks, etc? Or a sleeper system that will be hidden from prying eyes?

Just on parts for mine I have $2,800 invested. I did all the labor. Look at my sig for what I have.

However, I had an Explorer with over $6,000 invested (just in parts). The SQ difference is amazing in my ears, but to most people the extra $3,200 was a waste of money. I'm just waiting to see how long I'll keep my Max before I start to increase my stereo investment in it. It's a serious pain in the A** to take a $6,000 system out of a car when you sell it!!!
