New Stereo...Sucks...Need Help
I bought a new Sony Explode 52Watts X 4, with 4 new sony explode speakers..The speakers are the two way 5 1/4 , the car has no lows what so ever..can someone tell me are the two way speakers just Mids and highs, i keep getting different answers from everyone i talk to. Is the only way to get some lows and bass to add a sub?
Any help would be appreciated!!!

You can't get any low end out of a 5.25" speaker, it will play down to may 60hz with any skill, but a sub plays the audible range between 20-80hz, that's why you have no low end. 6.5s are better, but the only way to get real boom is with a good set of 8s up to 15s

well, yeah a 5.25 will not usally play low, but the other problem is you got crap...I know it hurts and it's wrong but it is 
A good 5.25 would play lower but basically the guy is right, thats not the kind of speaker for it.

that just confused the mess out of me too
Maybe thats why it sounds so bad....he got the wrong speakers !

Sorry guys i knew that would confuse alot of people...These speakers are not in my Max, They are in a convertible LeBaron and that is all that will fit....So looks like from the feedback, i will need a sub...

P.s... I wouldn't dare put that cheap crap in my Blk 2k SE..
