Please help,

I am having a hard time trying to decide on a headunit. The criteria is it can't be over $600 AUD and must play mp3 CD's and have a clean 'pre out' signal. I won't be uning the in built amplifiers as I have allready purchased 2 amplifiers to take care of my subwoofer and front/rear speakers.

Has anyone had any experiance or got any uselfull comments on the JVC KD LH2000? It has mp3 support and a flashy 3d matrix screen (thought that it no so important to me), I want sound quality.

Any onther units in the price range...I have read alot about ALPINE units?
