What R the best Speakers?

Hi I need some new speakers for my MAX. I wanna spend around $300-$400 for them. What brands should I be looking into (JL, Infinity...). Do I need an 4-channel AMP to power them if I plan on buying the Alpine CDA-7894?

Thanks.

The term "Best" when it comes to this subject is merely an opinion. What one person thinks is the Best, andother may think of as the Worst.

Your budget is $300-$400? I will look into some things for you, shoot me an email, and Ill see if I can help you out.

I got my Focal Poly Kevlar 165K's for $330 off the net. GREAT speakers, I am VERY VERY happy with them!!......and what you could do is get a good 2 channel amp that puts out at least 80x2 out and then run some rear fill off the Alpine, I have the same deck and this is what I do, and the rears still sound AWESOME for the people in the back, but I got it tuned so I dont hear ANY sound from the back but my sub!! My rears are focal polyflex HC165. Those were around $150. I must say and not biased either but I havent set in a car yet in non competition form that sounds better then mine.....yes LOUDER, but not better.........

it matters of taste, i personally like MB quart, but some people think they tend to be harsh, after that i'll take boston acoustics pro, not the titanium tweet but the silk, you have to listen to them in a car enviornment in order to know what "you" think is the best, i used to compete and ive always used MB quart in competition cars, with the exception of horns but thats another story

I'm a big fan of the Boston Acoustics Pro series, very smooth and powerful. Diamond, Focal, and Dyn are all good too. You have to audition them to really see what your flavor is. I have considered using the deck for rear fill and getting (2) 2 channel amps for my subs and fronts. That would be pretty sweet. The rears are almost dead to you being in the doors, well, mine are in the doors anyway

IMO the best are MB Quart, Focal, Boston Acoustics, I had MBQ's in my neon a component set up front and amplified coax's in the rear, great speakers, I think im going Focal in the Max though... if you can get a nice 50x4 amp to power all the speakers.

Decision?

I think I've decided on 4 types of speakers. JL Audio, Diamond Audio, FOcal, MB Quart. I want to spend no more than $400. I think some of these brands may be out of my price range. Any recommendations of each that I can affords. Also can anyone suggest a good 4 channel amp that is under $180. Thanks.

George

P.S. I think I might end of getting the JL XR component set and the VR Coax. What do you think?

Yes I do carry Diamond Audio. The M5 line has been discontinued awhile ago now. They have been replaced by the M6 line. There may still be some M5 sets in the warehouse somewhere, I would have to check but it is doubtful.

Email me for price if interested in the M6.
