I don't know how many of u have seen this. But it's about a improving ground wires in our cars ( as well as any others ) to improve various things, electrical and performance. I'm interested and will probably buy it. Is it legit?

Hey, the money is right. We can do that if we have the time.

well, at least if you have a big stereo system, you should have a thicker ground. I am running a 2 gauge to the trunk and my ground is a 0 gauge wire.

simple current draw. If you are drawing a lot of current through your positive wire, then you should have a matching or bigger ground

Factory ground in the 4th gen maxima, from chassis to block is a flimsy 4 gauge wire. Same for the wire running from the chassis to battery terminal. Our cars have polyurethane engine mounts. So no current flows from the block to the chassis except through the ground wire. But I can't see any way that this would improve performance or gas mileage. That's like saying $20 spark plugs burn more fuel than $10 spark plugs.

O I understand current draw, and yes it is simple. Althoughwould you water your grass through a garden hose, with a fire hose as an extension?? Would you get the same pressure/continuity? No. Your ground wire should be the same as your power, not larger, but the same.

Hey James..some feedback on this??

Normally the ground wire is shorter than the power wire. So it does not need to be as heavy or thicker. But it should be up to the current demands of the system. I have over 1k watt RMS now class AB. And a couple big class D's in my basement. My system is wired to be able to hook up a few k-watts.

i agree, but larger ground shouldn't hurt it either and it looks cool

You do know that for the system you are running, the wires you use are WAY overkill. You are getting ZERO gains in output for the current you are drawing.

*%$*^#*#* Sorry, I typed but didn't realize until I hit the submit button that I was inside your quotes. It just doesn't look like I typed anything. *$^*&(*#&&

I gotta look at the calendar. I sorta made plans for Monday night. Gotta get hammered with a co-worker. Sometime between now and then we have to decide who's drivin / payin for the cab. And I would have to dig the tent out of the garage. It's kinda buried behind MDF, BB, dmpening material, wires, speakers, etc.

not really, I am running 2 kicker zr360, those things draw a lot of current. Each one of them got 2 40amp fuses
