You can use 25-30 sq. ft. for the trunk. Check my homepage.

Sorry, it's just that this question is so subjective. I mean you can cover 40 square feet with 40 sq ft of material. Or you can cover 5 sq ft 8 times. 10 sq ft 4 times, etc. It's all relative.

You are making it more complicated then it is. If I wanted to cover my trunk 8 times, would still have to know how many sq ft I need for each layer... Anyway, how long is that gd going to last for, cuz I'm deffinetely in.

I can't think of a better reason to get a brahma!!!!! Sorry to hear that though. But I really can beleive it. You probably still like to hear it sound like it did with the pair of perfects. And the only way to reproduce that sound is to distor teh velodynes. A little distortion has blown a lot of drivers this year. But now you owe it to yourself to get a brahma or two. The problem with two is finding a generator to power the amps.

Yes, you would. And that is why you can buy a tape measure at wal-mart. YOu can also cover 30 X 1219 sq centimeters with 40 sq ft. Remember, it's just a roll of material 1 foot wide and 40 feet wide.

James, I'm in the process of talking to Velodyne to see if the sub can be repaired (torn spider). If it can't, I will be looking for a 10" free-air sub. My requirements are excellent sq, very tight bass and decent output (115db+).

yeah, I could do that if I was covering a floor in my house, but since we're talking about a trunk here, I just wanted someone who done this before to tell me how much they ended up using.

That is why I pointed out that some people feel one layer is enough, while others feel 6 layers are too few. It's way too subjective for you to ask us. We can give hard and fast facts, or out honest opinions. Anything in between is off limits.
