Something weird happened out of nowhere. I was on Newbury St. in Boston using the Stock(not Bose) cd player in my 99 SE, and all of a sudden static overtook the music. I turned on the radio and that worked fine, so it couldn't be the speakers. Does anyone know anything about this problem? Please let me know. Thank you.

Hi, my bose unit does the same thing, I know it has to be something with the laser, because I heard the static on a specific cd of mind all the time then got the laser re-lined and this has now stoppped but the laser isn't 100% yet. I will be changing the laser, an will keep everyone posted it this completly stops.

 

Where could I go to have the laser re-lined?
