Do they still manufacture or sell this type of speaker box anymore? All I can remember about these tube box is that the 10" hit real nice for its size. I believe they also made 12" also. By now you all know I'm trying to find a big (hit/beat) thing that comes in small package

Yeah

If you can't find them in your local shops, Check out
Crutchfield, they have them in their catalog & web site.

Yes they still make the bazooka tubes. Check out your local audio stores or even a circuit city or something similar. You can get them w/ a built in amp too. If no one aorund has it, check out crutchfield. Some legit on-line shops would be http://www.mmxpress.com or http://www.carmedia1.com Those two stores are legit and have great service.

Man, now I'm flashing back to years ago when I had one of these things - first sub I ever bought. They're still around, in both regular and amplified versions. Kinda miss having the old "bass cannon" in my trunk. Actually, I really miss it considering I have no subs at the moment!

Hsu Research also makes some tube-style sub boxes:

I second the Hsu comment. Check out rec.audio.car for many independent message board comments on the Hsu. It's very highly regarded. The Bazookas, on the other hand, are not generally well liked by Car audio fanatics.

visit http://www.hsuresearch.com for their web site. (I think Dr. Hsu's grandkids must have made the web site, but the woofer is very highly regarded). The woofer was called the "bargain of the century" or something like that by Car Stereo Review.
