I am getting a 7949 to replace the badass stock deck.

My <?> is there any major flaw with the 7949? Who is running one? Any problems or suggesstions on a comparable deck.

Nope:-))) DSP,Pre-amp only, copper-plated chassis. What other HU do you know of that has a digital optical output ???? This is an awesome deck. It's about 3 years old though

How many people know how to take advantage of a balanced line output ?? I actaully considered the 8052 a while back

 

Just hook the balanced line out to a eq or amp that can receive the signal. Most high end amps these days can deal with it. Running a balanced signal from the HU to the amp makes a huge difference. No, I repeat, no noise in the signal at all.

I am running a balanced signal between my HU, my eq, and my amp. Sounds incredible and wiring it was a snap since I really didn't need to worry about seperating my power and signal cables.

 

What kind of amp are you using ??
