My system has been acting wierd lately
I have a kenwood Face and a Basslink hooked up only to the back 2 speakers.
Everytime I put the music loud it will just shut off and nothing will be going except the Bass. at low volumes it sounds ok but when I crank it, it just shuts off. also on specific songs it just fast fowards all of a sudden

I don't know much about the basslink, but check your speaker wire connections, if they are grounding themselves against the body of the car, that will cause the inside speakers to shut off.

 

I have a similar problem. I got my kenwood amp wired through the back speaker wires using the speaker level input. when teh amp overheats, sometimes it just shuts off, other times the whole system including the speakers shut off and the cd like pauses, well, i guess more like skips, skips or pauses, samething. It's really weird. By the way, the Kenwood KAC829 amp is 2ohm stable, anyone have any idea why the amp would overheat and shut off when i am running 2ohms? I got 2 four ohm subs bridged down to 2 ohm...... Thanks....
