Largest box in 5th Gen?

Did a search and couldn't get any good answers:
What's the largest box that would fit between the wheel wells without building it in the trunk or using fiberglass? It's probably something like 36x14x? I don't have a max yet so its just a guess.
Thanks,
Matt

Well, if it has to fit without glass or building it in the trunk it has to be able to fit through the hole, and under the trunk lid bars. You may be able to get a slightly larger box in by removing the rear seat and sliding it in that way.

What kinda subs are you planning on running? My box is about 32 inches wide. But I've got about 4 more inches on each side. I won't get back home until tonight, but at that time I can respond back with the exact dimensions. Just let me know, also, you can see how I did my set up on my web page.

your install looks great. is the box sealed off from the back of the trunk? has facing them forward caused you to lose alot of low bass? i'm looking at a few different subs at the moment, either a single 12 or 15 in a ported box. i'm pretty sure it will be either the adire audio brahma, the beyond audio inhuman, or the resonant engineering xxx.

I probably lost a little bass in the process, but nothing real noticeable. The rear piece that is visible in the trunk, is just a cover piece of 1/2" MDF covered in vinyl. It's easily removed by 3 screws and has no structural purpose. If you want a 12 in a ported, or a 15 in ported, I highly suggest JL Audio W7's. They're expensive but worth it. The 13W7 has the same surface area as a 15" sub due to its unique design.
