Eclipse radio reception

After Igor911 explained that I needed to connect the remote turn on lead, reception definitely helped. I could atleast tune in a station. I still feel that it is less than factory. In terms of how long it's able to hold a signal over 30-50 miles, whereas the eclipse fades out sooner than factory on road trips, I have regularly made. Just a thought. Also I got a minimal motor noise after installing the 5442. The stereo shop said they'd look at it whenever it got too bad for me to stand.

Have the shop that installed the 5442 fix the engine noise problem. I have this HU and there is zero noise in my system. Could be a simple grounding issue. Also, I believe that just about any aftermarket HU is not going to get as good as radio reception as stock, just because the stock Bose HU was specifically designed to work with the dual antenna system.
