Need help.....stereo broken....

I have a JL 500/1 and two Alpine Type - R's, the other day I turned my car on and there is no bass...The amp power is on and the subs work because I put them in my brothers car...any suggestions on what to check ???

Could be multiple things. If the amp is on:

Check the Wires from the amp to the box ----> box to the sub. Take the sub out and make sure the connection into the sub is still okay. By okay i mean look for any fraying wires or loose fits. This was my problem..

Hope this helps.

Did you try the amp in your brother's car too? my friend had this problem and it was his amp. If amp works, try his in your car. maybe it's the outputs on the deck.
