Heated Seat Question

I just purchased a 2003 Maxima GLE without the Meridian package. I live in the Northeast and the leather seats are pretty chilly in the winter months without the heated seats. My question is this - are the leather seats already equipped with the heating elements? I was thinking that Nissan may possibly equip the leather seats with the elements and if I can purchase the switch and wiring/relays/etc I might be able to have heated seats after all.

If anyone has information relating to this topic, I would appreciate your feedback.

I believe the answer is no, but I can't be entirely certain since I didn't get leather. The pads from the dealer are mad expensive. Keep an eye out though, I will probably be posting a How-To on installing aftermarket seat heaters using the factory wiring and switches. Maybe in a couple weeks. I bought some Carbotex seat heaters, $150 each, and the factory switches for $70. Check back in a couple weeks.
