Trim removal ?

how does one remove the trim around the radio without breaking it. i had my radio installed at circuit city, and now i have to install my subs again, but i don't wanna pay for them to plug in two cables that i could do myself. i just don't wanna break the trim pieces. any help would be great. (search doesn't count)

If you have a 4th gen, you can find instructions in the 4th Gen FAQ

I DO EVERYTHING MYSELF

I just recently bought my 4th gen Maxima. I got a bomb a** Kenwood head unit in which I just bought a brand new sub setup for it. I was in the same situation you were in. I didn't know anything when it came to messing with the interior/exterior. There was also the possibility of breaking stuff on the interior, it seems pretty fraJILE, but looks REALLY nice.

Anyways to the point, there is so much information on this forum about little SIMPLE things like what you want to do... Personally the site below came in handy in particular... check it out

http://www.maximadriver.com/

Click on: How2/(look under) Cosmetics/(all the way at the bottom, click on) Install a Basic Stereo System

Hope it helps, I could take out the whole cluser in like 2 minutes now!!
