alpine 7995

i have a 97 max w/bose. aren't the speakers amplified, making it difficult to switch headunits? i was told that the 7995 didn't have an internal amp, so shouldn't this just plug in w/o any adaptors? i want to upgrade my system, and i do not want to have to replace the bose speakers yet. thanks for all reply's in advance.

Someone correct my if I'm wrong, BUT the Bose Headunit does put out a little power, less than the average headunit, then the external amplifiers on each speaker does its job. I don't think that Alpine will work without replacing all speakers and adding aftermarket amplifiers.

Won't work

The bose system speakers will not work correctly with the 7995. Sorry. If you want to see what it would sound like just swap out the head units quickly. Usually you will get a high pitched hum.
