Need HELP!! Amp selection NEEDED!!

I have the components for a really clean and crisp system.. Diamond audio Hex's all around, great Alpine head-unit, six disc changer.. Here's my problem... I am still using an old, but good, set of amps.. They are a Punch 4080DSM and a Punch 200ix... Please tell me, within reason, what my best choices are. I just cannot afford Xtant!!

Well, the old RF's are some of the better available. So unless you are looking just for more power, keep what you have. Most people aren't as happy with the new RF stuff as the old.

I'll second the RF comment, I just wasn't all that happy with the new models, they seemed to have dropped greatly in quality so the price could drop enough for every little Best Buy stereo kid to have one. I'm all about soundstream now myself, kickin it old school. Keep the RF unless you need more juice.

I agree with the other posts about the older RF.

If you are interested I can put you into Diamond D5 or D7 amps to nicely compliment your HEXs.

Is that 300 dollars or watts? What is the rateing on the type R subs for the enclosure you have?

If it is a sealed box the power rateing varies depending on the size of the box and the speakers response. If it is ported the power handling will be variable depending on the tuning frequency.

I have one of the original MTX 1000D's. If you are interested let me know by email. I am planning a humongous revamp of my system. Need to get rid of some of the stuff I have. And FYI it has only been hooked up about a month of the time I have had it.
