3rd generation flip-out DVD?????????

i am looking into buying a dvd/cd player with a flipout screen for my car. i have the bose crap and am planning on replacing everything but i need help on the dvd player/screen HU. i have about $500 to spend on the headunit. does aone know where i can get an ok one for less then 500 dollars. i dont care about name brand stuff. so as long as it works and is about midrange quality i dont care as long as iot is under 500. well please help me out.

p.s i did a seafrch but i didnt find anything useful.

ebay is your best bet.. but it will still be hard to find anything under 500, unless its REALLY ****ty...

Unless you do like Conrad says, $500 wont buy you a decent dvd, flip-out screen headunit. New, these things are @ $2000. Maybe you will get lucky?

how bout like one of those am/fm/tv tuners HU with the lcd screens if i bought like one of the small compact dvd players( like a little portbale discman things) like to put under my seat or something would that would with the headunit? do the tv tuners have a video in plug.

i am very new to this mobile video stuff so i have no idea about anything

Hell no that aint going to work. How you expect to watch a DVD on a small LCD screen on the standard DIN size Headunits? Those LCDs screens like what are on the Kenwood and Pioneer are just for graphics and what not.

You going to be out of luck bro. A flip out screen and built in DVD is AT LEAST $1500 or above MINIMUM.

hey man i aint stupid i mean of the hu with the 6.5 or 7 inch screens not the screen where u see the radio station and stuff. come on now,...

maybe u could get yourself some lanzar components or something. sseriously, u should either save your money and get something nice or with 500 u can get yourself pretty much any cd/mp3 player u want!
