Wire Colors for radio...need Help!!

I have a 89 Maxima. And I'm trying to install my cd player that used to be in my old car. I've look at a bunch of different sites saying the colors, but a lot of the sites I went to I didn't even have the color wires they showed. Can I just go by the pins that they were plugged into? Does anyone know what pin was what? If anyone could help me..that would be awesome.

I saw that site before...and I matched up the wires to the pin that it said it was...even tho a lot of the wire colors weren't the same as the typical nissan colors...and I got nothin'...no power..nothing..some static when I move some of the speaker wires but thats about it. Can anyone help me?

test each wire individually...it's a PITA though, but worthwhile. I had to do the same recently cuz my radio was acting strange. Turned out that the 12v constant wasn't working...so i routed a wire from the alarm i installed...works great now.
