I have a JL 12W0 and don't know which is the best way to connect the speaker wire to the sub. What type of connector can I use or should I solder the wires to the sub? Thanks.

By far the best way is to solder.

It gives you the most secure connection. it's also a pain compared the others. Most people use the female blade connectors that slide onto the male blades of the sub. For future ease of removal, use the blades and solder them to the speaker wire, not just crimp them. That gives as good a connection as you'll need.
