factory stereo

Has anyone hooked up a amp to the non-bose factory deck? If so let me know because I'm thinking about putting in some better speakers for the time being until I finish my exterior mods because my factory speakers are blown and the ones I purchase need more power than what the deck can push out.

You can hook it up the same way as with the bose.

I installed the CD/Tape deck from my fathers Xterra SE into my GXE The factory tape sucked and it could not push my Infinities very well but the Xterra Deck pushes my Kappa's awesome. I will eventually get an amp though.

I've just recently hooked up my amp to a 5th Gen Non-Bose HU. It was not difficult, but it took a while because I didn't use any wiring harnesses. Here is a halfa** description of what I did.

Hope this helps.
