To buy or not to buy from ebay....that is the question...
As far as new stuff goes....
I understand that a lot of brands do not allow internet sales of their merchandise, is this correct?
However, there are retailers on ebay that are selling new stuff and claim there is a warranty...
I interpret it as follows:
If any issues arise, you send the product back to them and they deal with the manufacturer to get it fixed for you.. so the warranty is basically there, but through them.....
Is there any catch here?
Because I've found stuff on ebay new for a fairly good amount cheaper than any local stores or even oteher online stores...
thanks in advance.

On the other hand, the rating of the seller is very important. I would not buy anything from someone with 0 - 10 stars, but buying from someone with over 1,000 I might do. For a lot of these people, reputation is everything and they don't want to take the chance of ruining it. Send them an e-mail and get more info. I buddy of mine swears by e-bay. He was burnt once, but over all he is ahead of the game.
With anything, you are taking a chance so just be as informed about it as you can (read the reviews of the seller).
Good luck!
You really never know what your getting, or where it is really coming from. Alot is refurb/b-stock,grey market,Stolen, not real,etc..
You may pay a bit more from your local retailer, but you know the deal then. Also Ive always had a thing about seeing/talking to the person Im dropping a ton of money with.
This is why I offer a large discount to fellow Org members, I would rather sell at a lower price and make less money, than to see some of you guys get burnt by taking a shortcut. I am not supposed to sell most of the stuff I do online anywhere, but I do here as a favor to other Org members. I do not sell on Ebay, online stores,or other forums simply for that fact.
