New Additions........
Well, after getting a nice 700 dollars for Xmas from the wifey, I went to my favorite car audio stores, Tune Station & Car Toys. Out of that came Infinity Kappa 62.5i 6 1/2" two way speakers and a Pioneer DEQ-7600 DSP Audio Processor/Equalizer. Install starts tomorrow. I will move the Infinity Kappa 5 3/4" two-way to the rear deck to replace the Reference Series 6 1/2" componet woofer, and the 6 1/2 Kappa will go into the front doors. I now have a choice, go purchase the Infinity Kappa 1200w 12" subwoofer for 120 dollars, keep the Sony Xplod 1200w 12" subwoofer and buy the bulk Dynamat for 120 dollars, or buy the Infinity Kappa 1200w Dual Voice Coil 12" subwoofer for 199 dollars? After buying more Xmas gifts for my family and the stuff mentioned above, I got about 260 dollars left.
What do you guys think I should get next? What is the most important; the Dynamat or completing the Infinity layout? Anyone has experience with the Infinity Subwoofers? If so, are they worth it? I know that my door and deck speakers are great for sound quality, but I don't know too much about their subwoofers........... help me out......
have a merry Xmas................

Infinity subs are decent, not my favorite, but pretty good for the money. If you don't have a lot of rattles in the trunk yet, I wouldn't worry about the dynamat. It's great stuff for high power sub applications and very nice components in the doors, other than that I don't think you need to worry about it at this stage. I would add a quality sub/amp, or upgrade your other speakers. The sub will fill in that missing punch and add some quality depth to the system.

Well I have heard a pair if Infinity Perfect 12.1's, and they sounded pretty clean to me, given about 1.4 cubic foot each in a sealed enclosure with 300 wrms each. How badly does your car rattle right now? There is something called "Be Quiet" that can be had for much cheaper online than conventional Dynamat, so maybe you can do both. As a matter of fact there are tons of better/cheaper alternatives than dynamat. Check out the forums at termpro.com or sounddomain.com.
