yes but

everything has to be in relation to the amount of amperes the amplifier requires. The amplifiers that I will be putting in both have 80 ampere fuses which means at peak power I will drain 160 amperes. The stock alternator is what 110 amperes. When the amplifiers draw 160 amperes your car is -50 amperes. That leaves none for the car to run on. A cap can only store what it recieves and when there is no amperes left from the alternator the caps will be useless. I asked because I think a multi-amplifier system requires a large amount of power and was not sure if the stock alternator was sufficient enough. Adding another battery would just put more strain on the alternator as well.

Just beacuse the amps have 80 amp fuses in them...that doesn't mean that they will each pull 80 amps of current.

I run 2 80 amp fuses inline, but the amps themselves have an 80 and a 40, so that would be what, 120 max and I never have a problem with the stock alt or even the stock battery. If anyone would be able to back that up it would be Don or Carlos, I know he runs incredible power through the stock alt.

he's actually not that far off..

he's right about the 2nd battery, right about the caps.. but the reason is a little off..

when you try to draw more current than an alternator can produce, it will drag down the alt's voltage, and things will start drawing power from the battery too..

there are lots of amps that use huge fuses, i had a MA audio amp that had a 150 amp ANL fuse on it, and i have a 150 amp circuit breaker on it's power wire. but about the stuff the guy said about pulling 160 amperes, he don't kno what he's talking about...
