AMP Ohm question

Hey there,

Ok i have two 12" MTX single voice coil woofers rated at 250 rms and 500 max watts each, @ 4 ohm's,

My Pioneer amp (GM-X962) is rated:
125 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms
190 watts x 2 at 2 ohms
380 watts x 1 in bridged mode (760 max @ 4 ohm)

My questions are:

1. Can i run the "bridged" setup with 2 subs? and how would i wire the subs?
2. If not, can i run the 190 watts x 2 at 2 ohms even though the subs are rated at 4 ohm's?

Any help is apriciated, Thanks.

1. That will give you a 2ohm mono load, which the amp will probably not be able to sustain for a long time. Try it and see.

2. no

I would take that amp back, because it isn't 2ohm mono stable. You're stuck with 125x2 with that setup, which isn't going to hit with those subs.

Well i brought back the Pioneer and got an Xtant A3001 amp which is 300 x 1 @ 2 ohm, and it sounds AWESOME.

Thanks for the help!
